My seven year old grandson and 10 year old granddaughter just read this with me. We had a delightful time reading the story and then finding all the homonyms. I am not an English teacher but try to find ways to give little "English lessons" to my grandchildren in everyday conversation or in reading books and articles. It was a joy for me to give them a little school lesson along with reading a very cute story.Product details

The Zoo is Blue is an entertaining and fun book that kids can get into. I recommend this book. The illustrations are great with an engaging story.
Great find with a good blend of entertainment and education. There are many homonyms throughout the story and the zoo characters are memorable and endearing.
Excellent lesson on homonyms, one of those aspects that you tend to overlook. Illustrations were really well put togethter and were interesting to look at. I really enjoyed the pictures along with the story. Good Buy

This beautifully illustrated book will inspire creativity in any child's imagination. Lessons in problem solving and compassion are the obvious long term take-away here, but you just can't resist the wonderfully defined characters. This one will be read over and over and will inspire a few trips to our local zoo to visit all of our new friends. Great book!
The Zoo's characters are fun to act out as you are reading. One can really get into the blue characters who go Boohoo and are comforted soon after by other zoo animals with just the perfect solution to their problem.
I gave it a four star rating only because I could not make the individual pages fit the iPad screen. The books pages were smaller than the screen itself. I'm hoping it was a problem on my end.
